Utilities and other bills make up nearly a third of the cost (27.2%) while packaging, transport and marketing of the product sets the average wet-led pub back 64p a pint - nearly 14% of the cost.
Using the BBPA's breakdown of costs, we can see that tax (£1.53) and staff costs (81p) account for over half of the price of a pint.
